Xmas is only days away..!

Folks,

Snappy update.. as I'm heading out during the Xmas break.. to catch up with family.. and do a sneaky bike shoot.. of an amazing Flathead Chopper...!

The Mag is going great guns at the moment..!

I've setup a very basic template... using some very basic software (I'm on a zero dollar beer budget, with zero experiece :) ).

I've been lucky enough to know some great blokes who have volunteered their time to the mag.. who know full well.. it's for love and personal respect.. and Zero Dollars.. so lads: Tim, Troy, Tony, Paul, Johnny, Jimmy, Allan, Buzz, Richie and the DL crew.. a big thank-you.. from me to you..!!

I've also scored a few amazing bikes to put in the mag.. a few from Brisbane, a few from Sydney and a couple from Melbourne and Geelong.. and I'm keen to have one or more from each state.. if you own, or know of someone who owns a bike that would be a perfect fit to the mag.. please contact me.. as soon as you can..!? it would truly be appreciated..! email: magazine@dirtyloveshow.com.au

Anyway folks... Merry Xmas.. and I hope you all have a big.. but safe.. New Year..!!

Regards & Respect, Chops

What have I done - And Why do I keep doing this to myself..!?

Well, I opened my big mouth didn't I and had a whinge about the lack of quality bikes and features published in the Aussie Magazines as of late, or their unwillingness to move with the times ? Either way, their is a good number of us 'weirdo's' that aren't real happy with what we are 'not' seeing or reading in the mags!

Now, with the show kicking off, which is aimed directly at what we love and my recent whinge, late Friday night after some prompting from others, I decided to put up, rather than shut up, and announced that I'd kick off a magazine!

WTF did I do that for?

Now anyone that knows me personally, will know that I'm already juggling a tonne of stuff all over the bike and kustom kulture scene, but hey, with the help of some top peoples from all over Aus, hopefully we'll be able to put something together to at least entertain you for a while, if not only provide you a giggle from our bumbling, bad spelling and over exposed photos !? Yep, were going in to this with 'no idea' - but what we do know, is were going to have a good amount of fun giving it a red hot go..!!

As an FYI, in my defense, I've wanted to have a go at doing some sort of magazine for some time now, and about a year or so ago, thought of doing it under my Chops's Place Website Banner - but the scope of that site, is/was too wide open and what I really wanted to do was a Mag to cover mine and my mates love of Vintage and Kustom Hand Built Motorcycles in Australia..!

The Initial intentions are to run this mag as an independent zine with maximum involvement of some top folks from all over Australia ! A magazine to showcase not only the bikes and builders, but also the business's who support them/us.!!

For the first couple of issues, I'm planning on doing online only versions, to gauge interest Levels and confirm that all this extra work, will have a purpose, if not - no mess, no fuss - I'll go back to doing, what I already do..! Living life, as large as possible..!

That's it for now folks, I'm already out there researching publishing solutions and chasing filler for the Zine, so all going well I can launch the first issue, before the bike show !

Regards & Respect,
Jamie (Chops) Day
